    Standing corrections policy

Founders & Frequencies launches today. This is the standing entry on the corrections page. When the publication makes a factual error, the correction will appear here with a date, a one-line description, and a link to the affected article. We do not silently update published work, except for typographical fixes. Substantive updates — additions of new reporting, changes in framing — appear as dated update notes at the bottom of the affected article, and are mirrored here.

How we handle corrections

A correction is a factual change. If a published piece contains a date, name, attribution, statistic, or claim that is wrong, we correct it. The correction appears at the bottom of the affected article, with the date and a brief explanation of what was wrong. The correction is also logged on this page.

An update is a substantive change other than a correction — usually new reporting, a follow-up interview, or a clarification of framing. Updates appear at the bottom of the affected article as a dated note. They do not retroactively alter the original text above. They are also mirrored here.

A typo fix is not a correction. We fix typographical and obvious-grammar errors silently. We do not silently rewrite published prose.

To report a correction

Email corrections@foundersandfrequencies.com with the specific line, the specific piece, and what you believe the correct fact to be. We respond to every correction request.
